Police nab man for stabbing girlfriend’s brother

Dada Taiwo, a 35-year-old man, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend’s brother, Damilola Momoh, with a broken bottle.
The incident happened in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, amidst an argument over a borrowed phone.
Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the arrest of Dada Taiwo. The incident was reported to the Agbado Division by Olaife Momoh, Taiwo’s girlfriend. According to Odutola, the victim, a 34-year-old male, suffered severe neck injuries and received immediate medical attention at Overcomer Hospital in Agbado.
“On July 21, about 2 a.m., a woman named Olaife Momoh, residing at 11 Sowemimo Street, Akera, Agbado, Ogun State, reported to the station that her boyfriend, Dada Taiwo of 34 Crossing Road, Agbado, aged 35, had a dispute with her elder brother, Damilola Momoh, aged 34, over a phone her brother had borrowed. During the argument, the suspect, armed with a broken bottle, stabbed her brother on the neck, causing severe injuries and profuse bleeding,” Odutola stated.
Odutola, cautioned against the risks of unmanaged anger, encouraging individuals to seek assistance from nearby authorities when conflicts arise, rather than resorting to self-administered justice.
The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
