VIDEO: Bandit kingpin allegedly seizes Nigerian army vehicle, ammunition in daring attack

A disturbing video has emerged showing notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji and his gang celebrating after overpowering Nigerian Army troops and seizing an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) and a large cache of ammunition.
According to counterinsurgency expert ZagaZola Makama, the incident occurred when troops responded to a distress report of a high-level meeting of bandits at Turji’s camp. However, their vehicle became stuck in the marshy terrain, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
Despite efforts to reinforce their position, the troops were forced to withdraw, abandoning two APCs. Turji and his men then claimed victory, releasing a video showing them firing into the air and gloating over their capture of the military vehicles.
Makama revealed that the bandits took advantage of the weather conditions, which prevented air support from arriving promptly, to reinforce their position and overwhelm the troops. Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded during the encounter.
