Tinubu makes fresh appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Alfred Agaba Abah as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Civil Service Matters.
Reacting to the appointment, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, described Abah as the right fit for the role.
She noted that Abah’s appointment is a historic milestone, marking the first time such a position has been created within the Nigerian Civil Service.
The Head of Service added that the appointment is a strategic decision which reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to advancing ongoing reform efforts aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Civil Service.
Walson-Jack expressed hope that Abah, as an accomplished administrator and a retired Director of the Federal Civil Service, would bring with him a wealth of experience, deep expertise, and a solid reputation for integrity and professionalism.
“With over three decades of dedicated service in various key roles across the public sector, his track record speaks to his capability in driving reforms and fostering organizational excellence,” she said in a statement signed by the Head, Information & Public Relations of the HoSF, Eno Olotu (Mrs).
The HCSF noted that, under the leadership of President Tinubu, the Nigerian Civil Service has witnessed transformative reforms.
“These reforms have boosted the confidence of the Nigerian people in the government’s dedication to good governance and public service excellence,” she added.
