EFCC: Top official dismissed over bribe

After being accused of compromising case, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has allegedly sacked one of its senior prosecutors.
A top prosecutor, Offem Uket, was relieved of his duty after he was alleged to have taken bribe in a high-profile case involving the Malabu OPL 245 oil block fraud.
Justice Abubakar Kutigi had dismissed the case due to lack of evidence.
The dismissal however, signaled Uket, involvement in the compromise of the case.
A sources within the EFCC, Uket was allegedly pressured by former Attorney General Bello Adoke and defense attorney Wole Olanipekun to sabotage the trial.
