The Nigerian military has long been known for punishing civilians caught wearing camouflage attire, often claiming it as a violation of their uniform regulations. However, this recent development suggests that the Nigeria Police have now adopted a similar stance.
The incident has drawn mixed reactions from the public, with many questioning the legality of such actions by the police. Others linked the situation to the recent remarks by UK Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch, who accused the Nigerian police of engaging in extortion and theft, further fueling concerns about misconduct within the force.
Calls for reform and accountability have intensified, with citizens urging law enforcement to prioritize respect for individual rights.
