Tinubu gives new directive to ministers

President Bola Tinubu has directed all ministers in his administration to immediately provide a public account of their performance since assuming office.
According to a report by Vanguard on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced the presidential directive during a news conference in Abuja.
Idris explained that the move aims to ensure transparency and accountability, allowing Nigerians to assess the government’s progress and ask critical questions about its policies and achievements.
“This briefing is an opportunity for Nigerians to understand what the government has done so far and seek clarifications where necessary,” the minister stated.
The directive comes amid growing public demand for more openness in governance, with many citizens eager to evaluate the impact of government initiatives across various sectors.
