Anambra: Chukwuma urges delegates to vote wisely

The Anambra State governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Anambra State, Paul Chukwuma, has appealed to the delegates of the party to choose a candidate capable of leading the party to victory in the forthcoming governorship election.
This is just as delegates of the APC prepare to cast their votes on Saturday, April 5.
In a letter made available on Wednesday, Chukwuma underscored the role delegates play in shaping the future of Anambra, describing the decision as one that will not only affect the APC but also influence the state’s prosperity for years to come.
He stressed that this election is not just about selecting a candidate but about making a defining choice that will determine Anambra’s trajectory in the years ahead.
Chukwuma presented himself as the candidate best suited to lead the APC to success, urging delegates to look beyond temporary promises and distractions.
He highlighted his long-standing dedication to the APC, citing his previous roles as a former Zonal Youth Leader and National Auditor of the party, adding that these positions have allowed him to contribute significantly to the party’s growth and development within the state.
He said, “I have stood with this party from the beginning—not because of what it offers me, but because of what I know it can offer the people of Anambra.
“I have earned the trust and respect of our grassroots. With this broad support base, I am confident that our party will enter the November elections united, energised, and ready for victory.”
He added that his legal, intellectual, and emotional qualifications distinguished him from other potential candidates who may face eligibility challenges, adding, “With me, there is no such uncertainty.”
Chukwuma also framed the election as a test of ideas, strategy, and endurance.
Referencing the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Chukwuma argued that to defeat a sitting governor, the APC needs a candidate who not only matches Soludo’s intellect but surpasses him in vision and strategic thinking.
“I am that candidate,” he added.
He also acknowledged the demands of a political campaign and reassured the delegates of his readiness, describing himself as young, vibrant, and physically fit to endure the rigours of campaigning.
He urged delegates to make their decision based on loyalty, vision, and qualifications rather than distractions or fleeting promises.
He called on them to vote for him as the candidate who embodies the strength, determination, and commitment necessary to lead the APC to victory and secure a prosperous future for Anambra.
“On April 5, 2025, vote for a candidate who embodies the strength, vision, and commitment needed to propel the APC to a resounding victory,” Chukwuma added.
