JAMB releases 2025 mock UTME results as 10,446 still under processing

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, candidates who participated in the mock exam can now check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used for registration.
According to the Board, the mock exam is an optional exercise designed to test new features introduced into the examination process and to help candidates familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.
Out of the 200,115 candidates who initially indicated interest, two later withdrew, leaving a total of 200,113 registered candidates. On the day of the exam, 73,844 candidates were absent, while 88 others failed the mandatory biometric verification process.
As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully took the examination, with results for 115,735 of them now available. JAMB noted that results for the remaining 10,446 candidates are still being processed and will be released soon.
The Board also acknowledged some delays experienced by candidates at various centres, attributing the disruptions to the integration of new innovations being tested ahead of the main UTME.
“JAMB appreciates the support and understanding of candidates and their parents during this exercise,” the statement said. “These innovations are part of efforts to improve the integrity and efficiency of the main UTME.”
Over the years, the mock UTME has served as a critical preparatory tool for both the Board and candidates, identifying technical lapses while giving test-takers valuable experience ahead of the main examination.
JAMB urged all candidates to remain focused and continue making the necessary preparations as the Board works to ensure a seamless and credible UTME process.
