Correctional Service boss bags excellence award for service to humanity

The Controller of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), FCT Command, Mr Olatunbosun Ajibogun, has received an Award of Excellence from Global News Watch Magazine in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the service.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Samson Duza.
Speaking at the award ceremony, the Chief Editor of the magazine, Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, said the honour was part of efforts to recognise individuals who have made significant societal contributions.
Abdullahi noted that the magazine was committed to acknowledging excellence across various sectors.
He praised Ajibogun for his dedication, hard work, and positive impact within the Nigerian Correctional Service and the FCT.
“Olatunbosun Ajibogun is recognised for his remarkable achievements and impact in the Service and FCT.
“This award is a testament to his hard work and perseverance,” he said.
He also encouraged other public officials to emulate Ajibogun’s example by upholding accountability and transparency in their duties.
In his response, Ajibogun expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a motivation to do more.
“I am surprised and grateful. I never knew people were watching. I thank you and your organisation for finding me worthy of this award. I will not relent in doing my job diligently,” he said.
Ajibogun also appreciated the Controller-General of Corrections, Mr Sylvester Nwakuche, for the opportunity to serve and for his continuous support.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of the award and a reception in honour of the recipient.
