Jorginho sets to join Flamengo

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is set to move to Flamengo.
The Brazilian team is pushing for the transfer ahead of it’s preparation for Club World Cup.
It is a very special year with the Club World Cup on the schedule, to which many teams give priority for cache and economic prizes. Brazilian teams are getting ready to compete against the European giants and Flamengo is one of the teams hoping to reinforce their squad for that time. From Brazil they are already starting to give names that would arrive precisely from the market of Europe.
According to Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande, Jorginho will be the first.
The Arsenal player has already verbally accepted the offer from ‘Mengao’ and will sign the pre-contract in the next few days. The plan is for him to stay with the club for the next three years. However, it would not be official until the Gunners announce his exit.
The Italian’s contract expires on June 30th, but it is expected that Arsenal will release him before then to sign his contract with Flamengo. Should he do so, he will be reunited at the Club World Cup with Chelsea, his former team. The midfielder has had a fairly secondary role this season, a regular trend since he arrived at the Emirates in the winter of 2022-23. At 33 years of age, he will return to his native country.
Vene Casagrande himself has linked Flamengo with Joao Felix. Once again, the player has not been able to find a place at Milan, where he is on loan. The player belongs to Chelsea and Flamengo’s idea is to propose another loan, but in this case with an option to buy. Benfica is also in the race for the Portuguese player.
