Yamal becomes Barcelona highest paid player – Report

Lamine Yamal contract renewal with Barcelona, has made him become one of the highest-paid players in the squad, joining the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Frenkie de Jong, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Spanish outlet Marca has revealed further details about the figures behind the young star’s new deal.
Yamal’s contract has been extended until 30 June 2031, though it won’t come into effect until 13 July, when he turns 18 and becomes legally an adult. From that date, he will start earning as the superstar he is.
According to Marca, his base net salary will be around €10 million per season. On top of that, he will receive a €25 million signing-on bonus – spread across the six-year term of his contract – as well as a series of performance-based bonuses, including incentives for individual accolades such as the Ballon d’Or.
In total, should he meet all targets and performance incentives, the Mataro-born winger could see his net earnings rise to €20 million a year. This figure would place him among the club’s top earners, alongside Lewandowski, De Jong, and Ter Stegen – and potentially even ahead of them.
Lewandowski’s gross salary is set to drop from €32 million to €26 million next season, while De Jong earns €22 million plus €5.2 million in bonuses.
It’s worth noting that Yamal’s figures are quoted in net terms, meaning he could finish the season as Barcelona’s highest-paid player, depending on his performance – which has been rapidly improving in recent months. While Yamal’s contract is officially valid until 2031, it’s unlikely he will see out the full term as it currently stands.
Barcelona, the player, and his representatives have reportedly agreed to review the terms in two years, to negotiate a new deal should his trajectory continue its upward path. In essence, it’s an arrangement designed to align his salary with his rising star status in elite football.
