FG begins recruitment into NIS, NCoS, NSCDC, FFS Thursday, see conditions

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of recruitment into four federal paramilitary agencies.
These include the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
According to the official notice, the recruitment process will begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025, and all applications are to be submitted online through the CDCFIB recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. The exercise is expected to last for three weeks.
Vacancies are open across various cadres, including superintendent, inspectorate, and assistant levels. Positions are available for professionals such as medical doctors, engineers, lawyers, nurses, as well as graduates with degrees or diplomas in various disciplines. There are also openings for holders of SSCE, NECO, or equivalent qualifications for general duty roles, drivers, artisans, and appliance operators.
To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerians by birth, between the ages of 18 and 35, and must possess the relevant qualifications for the positions they are applying for. A certificate of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital is required, and applicants must not have any criminal convictions or history of financial embarrassment. Male applicants must not be less than 1.65 meters in height, while female applicants must be at least 1.60 meters tall. Additionally, male applicants must have a chest measurement of no less than 0.87 meters. Computer literacy is considered an added advantage.
The CDCFIB has stressed that applicants are allowed to apply for only one of the four agencies. Any applicant found to have submitted multiple applications across different agencies will be disqualified.
This recruitment drive comes at a time when the government is seeking to strengthen the country’s paramilitary institutions to enhance national security, public safety, and institutional efficiency.
