NEGF holds 10th meeting in Bauchi


The six Northeast Governors under the auspices of Northeast Governors’ Forum (NEGF) have converged on Bauchi State Capital to discuss issues of common interest affecting the subregion.
During 10th meeting slated for Friday, the forum would also unveil Prospectus for the 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair currently holding at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB Square Bauchi.
Stakeholders including Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) are expected make contributions on relevant issues that would add value to the governors recommendation.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Borno State Professor Babagana Umara Zulum alongside his counterparts from Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe are expected to held close door session after opening session to deliberate and proffer solution to the issues identified towards the overall development of the subregion.
Our Correspondent reports that the Governors are also expected to accompany the Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima to perform other activities including formal inauguration of 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair, newly constructed Bauchi State Government House and ground breaking ceremony for the construction of first two flyovers in capital city of Bauchi.
