Acerbi threatens PSG fan over Champions League taunt

Francesco Acerbi lost his temper with a PSG supporter who taunted him over his challenge on Bradley Barcola during the Champions League final.
The Inter Milan centre-back exploded after a Paris Saint-Germain fan reminded him of their 5-0 defeat in the Champions League final and threatened to “beat him up” if he repeated that behaviour.
Inter are currently in Seattle preparing for their second match of the Club World Cup against Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds, but they have yet to move on from the painful loss to PSG in Munich
After training, as Acerbi approached to greet Inter supporters, a fan wearing a PSG shirt brought up the humiliating incident.
As Acerbi neared, the PSG follower said simply: “Acerbi-Barcola.” He was referring to a moment when Barcola left the defender on the floor with a skilful dribble inside the box. The 37-year-old did not take the comment well and immediately summoned a member of the coaching staff to translate his reply.
Without any physical confrontation or shouting, but with a firm tone, Acerbi said in Italian: “I’m a serious person; I don’t like being mocked. If I’m leaving training and you say ‘Acerbi-Barcola’, I don’t like it. I’ll lose it and give you a beating.”
Inter, who drew 1-1 with Monterrey in their opening match, must beat the Japanese side to secure a place in the last 16.
