Bayern set deadline for Sane’s contract decision

Bayern Munich director Max Eberl has confirmed that winger Leroy Sane faces a firm deadline to decide on his contract renewal.
The player, who recently appointed new representatives, has been made fully aware of the club’s offer and expectations. “Leroy and his agency know exactly what we want and the terms on the table,” Eberl explained, emphasising the clarity of Bayern’s position.
The Bavarian giants are offering him a fixed annual salary of €10 million, supplemented by up to €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Despite the change in the player’s representation, the financial package remains unchanged, signalling the club’s resolve to maintain their stance during negotiations. They hope that the player will choose to commit his future to them before the 16th of May deadline.
Interest from Premier League clubs has noticeably waned, largely due to his high wage expectations, which have proved a stumbling block.
Meanwhile, lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian sides, though tempting on a financial level, have not convinced the German international. These factors have left Bayern Munich as the most likely destination for Sane, even if talks have so far failed to produce an agreement.
With the clock ticking, Bayern are keen to secure clarity on the winger’s future as they prepare for the next season.
