Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, cutting the cost by N65 per litre.

Effective from February 27, 2025, the new ex-depot price will drop from N890 to N825 per litre.

According to a statement from the company, this strategic price cut aims to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery policies. The refinery emphasized that it has consistently lowered fuel prices to ease the financial burden on citizens, marking this as the second petrol price reduction in February alone. Earlier in the month, Dangote Refinery slashed PMS prices by N60 per litre, following a N70.50 reduction in December 2024 to cushion the impact of holiday expenses.

With this latest adjustment, Nigerians can purchase Dangote’s high-quality petrol at varying prices across major retail outlets. MRS Holdings stations will sell at N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 in the South-West, N880 in the North, and N890 in the South-South and South-East. Meanwhile, AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations will offer the product at N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 in the South-West, N885 in the North, and N895 in the South-South and South-East.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery reassured the public of a steady fuel supply, with enough reserves to meet domestic demand and surplus available for export to boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings. The company also urged marketers to support the price reduction initiative to ensure that Nigerians fully benefit from the move.
