Confusion as pro-Akpabio protesters struggle to justify support

A video making waves on social media has sent the social media on frenzy, after some pro-Akpabio protesters struggled to explain why they were supporting Senate President Godswill Akpabio amid his ongoing dispute with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The demonstrators, who gathered at the National Assembly premises on Wednesday, March 5, were asked by an interviewer why they were backing Akpabio. Shockingly, one woman admitted she had no idea what was happening but had simply been called to join the protest. When asked if she knew Natasha, she replied, “No,” raising questions about the sincerity of the demonstration.
Another protester, when asked about her reason for supporting Akpabio, vaguely stated that she wanted him to “win the position.” However, the response raised eyebrows since there is no ongoing election for the Senate President’s seat.
The protest followed a clash between pro-Akpabio and pro-Natasha supporters, both of whom had taken to the streets earlier in the day to express their views on the controversy surrounding the two lawmakers.
The video has raised many unanswered questions, with netizens questioning the credibility of protests that appear to lack clear direction or purpose.
