FG procures drones to enhance security


Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that the FCT Administration is in the process of procuring drones to enhance the security infrastructure in the territory.
While receiving the Consul-General of the Hungarian Embassy in Nigeria, Endre Deri, Wike said, “Abuja is safer now, because of the way we have been able to tackle the issue.”
He also mentioned that ensuring security was a key focus in President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
The minister emphasized that the security measures implemented in the FCT have begun to show positive outcomes, highlighting a significant decrease in insecurity incidents.
He said, “You too can attest to the fact that Abuja is safer now, because of the way we have been able to tackle the issue.”
