From Atiku to Tinubu: Meet Daniel Bwala, newly appointed media aide

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, State House.
Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy made the announcement on Thursday.
Bwala, who previously served as an aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, was actively involved in supporting Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election, which he lost to Tinubu.
After the election, Bwala shifted his political allegiance to Tinubu, a move that generated considerable discussion.
Daniel Bwala was born in Borno State, the second son of eight siblings. Although the identity and occupational details of his parents have yet to be revealed.
Dr. Daniel Bwala holds various roles, including associate professor, judge, legal adviser and lawyer.
He is affiliated with the African Lawyers Association and is among a selection of Nigerians authorized to practice law abroad in the UK, having been accredited by the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in London. Bwala obtained his LLM in International Trade Law from Coventry University in the UK.
Dr. Daniel Bwala, a legal expert and political commentator, appeared on Channels Television and spoke on various topics, including criticizing Tinubu’s presidential bid and analyzing the upcoming 2023 elections.
In addition, he holds positions as an Assistant Professor and External Examiner at the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja, and provides consultancy services to the Advanced Law School of Nigeria. He is also affiliated with the Nigerian Bar Association.
Dr. Daniel Bwala happily shares his life with Dr. Diana Bwala, who works as a veterinarian and educator. Together, they are proud of their role as parents to two children named Faith and Ethan.
Dr. Daniel Bwala, a Nigerian Attorney-General, Political Commentator, and Public Affairs Analyst, has made significant strides in the Nigerian legal system and has been featured prominently in numerous interviews on Channels Television. Although his exact net worth is yet to be disclosed, he is undeniably considered one of Nigeria’s most respected lawyers.
