Full list: Davido, Rema, others win big at 2025 Headies Awards


The 17th Headies Awards lit up Lagos on Sunday night, celebrating outstanding achievements across Africa’s vibrant music scene.
Emerging star Zerry DL clinched the Rookie of the Year award, while global superstar Davido was honored as the Digital Artiste of the Year. Rema continued his winning streak, with his critically acclaimed album HEIS taking home the Afrobeats Album of the Year title. Meanwhile, Tems secured Best Recording of the Year for her soul-stirring track “Burning.”
One of the night’s biggest highlights in this year Headies award night was Odumodublvck’s triumph as the Next Rated Artiste, beating strong competition from Shallipopi, Qing Madi, and Ayo Maff.
Special Recognition Awards were also presented to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, media executive Alex Okosi, and sports administrator Amaju Pinnick for their significant contributions to music and culture.
In a notable shift, the organizers announced that the 18th edition of the Headies Awards would be held later this year in December, to make up for the 2024 gap.
