Gov Yusuf unveils strategy for tackling drug dealers

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has vowed to ensure that drug dealers in Kano will not find peace under his administration.
This pledge was made in a statement released by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature.
The governor expressed his surprise at learning that some drug dealers in the state had obtained court orders to release their seized illicit drug consignments.
He stated: “Governor Yusuf was astonished to discover that individuals involved in the illicit drug trade had secured court orders for the return of their seized contraband.”
“He expressed his deep concern about the judges who issued such orders, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
In response to this alarming development, Governor Yusuf directed the state Attorney General to develop a comprehensive strategy to prevent drug traffickers from exploiting legal loopholes in the future,” the statement read.
The statement also noted: “Governor Yusuf’s firm stance underscores the seriousness of the drug trafficking issue and the urgent need for collective efforts to shield the state from the threat of illicit substances.”
