In Ekiti, man kills wife over infidelity


A 34 years man, Dare Onipede, has allegedly stabbed his 32 years old wife, Arinola, to death after being accused of infidelity in Ekiti State.
The Public Relations Officer for the Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, confirmed this on Sunday, nothing that they received the information from the couple’s children on Saturday, April 27.
The horrific tragedy happened over the weekend on Christ Avenue in the Adebayo section of Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State.
A resident in the vicinity, who preferred not to be named, said the couple had sent their older child on an errand and then locked themselves in their apartment, where they began to argue about the alleged infidelity.
He said, both the man, reported to be a law enforcement agent, and his demised wife, who worked in a chemist shop, used sharp objects during the altercation, resulting in injuries to both parties.
