Insecurity: Ex-minister Henry Ikoh lauds Tinubu, armed forces’ efforts

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State Ozurumba Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, has eulogized the federal government and the Nigeria Armed forces for their gallantry in tackling myriads of security challenges across the nation
Ozurumba Ikoh specifically commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s for his commitment to provide a secured environment for the citizens, business men and investors to carry out their businesses.
In a statement on Sunday, the APC chieftain stressed that no meaningful economic development can take place in the country amidst insecurity.
The Abia APC prospective governorship aspirant, however, called on the government to seek out the reasons for various agitations and put in place measures that will nip them in the bud, adding that only such preventive proactive approach could enhance peaceful resolution of the conflicts
“The unity of Nigeria is not negotiable. I thereby call on separatists to seek alternative peaceful means of dialogue in achieving their grievances,” he said.
Reacting to various successes recorded by the current Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher General Musa and the Nigeria Army in defeating Boko Haram, flushing out bandits, armed militias and bringing their criminal activities to a halt, Chief Ikoh noted that those milestones worth celebrating.
He advised the media to carry out responsible investigating journalism and avoid reportings that could undermine the efforts of the federal government and security agencies in the discharge of their prime civic responsibility of maintaining peace, law and order in the country.
