Kogi: Panic as 4 reportedly kidnapped in Egbe

Fresh tension has gripped residents of Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State following reports that four individuals were kidnapped along the Patigi-Egbe road.
A video currently circulating on social media shows a group of distressed locals gathered at the scene of the incident in the dead of night. In the clip, some can be heard speaking in Yoruba, claiming that four people had been abducted.
Although authorities are yet to officially confirm the incident, but the latest attack adds to the growing list of kidnapping cases in the area. Just last month, the traditional ruler of Okoloke, a community within Yagba West LGA, was kidnapped and held in captivity for days before being released. Since then, multiple cases of abductions have reportedly occurred in the region.
Residents have expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in the area and are calling on the Kogi State Government and security agencies to intensify efforts in tackling the menace.
As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the latest victims remain unknown, and it is unclear whether contact has been established with the kidnappers.
