PDP governors rally support for Fubara amid party crisis in Rivers State

Governors under the aegis of Peoples Democratic party (PDP) have expressed their resolved to stand with Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State amid the face off bedeviling the party in his state.
In a similar development they condemned the recent pronouncements by President Bola Tinubu to compromise the upcoming Edo state governorship election in favour of the All Progressive Party.
The forum made their position known when they unanimously expressed their dismayed over the political impasse in Rivers State.
The Chairman of the body, Governor Bala Mohammed made this known in a Communique issued at the end of the governor’s meeting held Friday in Jalingo.
The forum decried a situation where court judgements are employed to determine the outcome of the party congress.
The communique further revealed that they will meet with the National Working Committee of the party to revisit the just concluded congress exercise carried out in the State.
“We will engage the NWC of our great party to revisit the congress with a view to correcting the anomaly and allowing His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Fubara to take his rightful leadership position of the party in the State” they stressed.
