Peller threatens lawsuit after being linked to 2025 JAMB failure

Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer, Peller, has fired back at Pastor Keseina Esiri after the clergyman publicly criticized him and fellow content creator Jarvis, accusing them of being a negative influence on Nigerian youths.
During a church service, Pastor Esiri condemned the increasing time young people spend on TikTok, claiming many now idolize influencers like Peller and Jarvis. He argued that their addiction to such content was a major reason behind the mass failure in the 2025 UTME, stating, “How can they pass JAMB when they sit on Peller’s page morning till night?”
In a fiery response, Peller took to social media to blast the pastor’s comments. He expressed outrage that his name and that of Jarvis were dragged into a sermon and accused the pastor of using them to rile up emotions and possibly solicit offerings.
“What is this generation turning to?” Peller asked in his video. “A pastor went to church and started preaching about Jarvis and Peller, saying we’re the reason kids failed JAMB. Let me tell you something — nobody is forced to watch us.”
Peller went on to threaten legal action, insisting that Pastor Esiri would face consequences for using their names in his message. “See that pastor, eh — we will sue you. Yes, Mr. Prophet, we will sue you! Because you used our names to collect offering in your church.”
The online community has since been divided, with some supporting the streamer’s outrage, while others believe Pastor Esiri’s concerns about social media addiction among youth may not be far-fetched.
