Rudi Garcia announces Courtois return to Belgium squad

Thibaut Courtois is set to return to the Belgium national team in March.
The Real Madrid goalkeeper had already hinted at his availability, and now new Belgium manager Rudi Garcia has confirmed the news after speaking with him personally.
Garcia stated that Thibaut Courtois will be included in the squad for Belgium’s upcoming matches, which are crucial for securing their place in League A of the UEFA Nations League.
“Thibaut Courtois will return to the national team. I met him in Madrid before the Real Madrid vs. Manchester City match. This is great news for Belgium,” the coach told L’Equipe.
Courtois had been absent from international duty following a dispute with former manager Domenico Tedesco, which led to his exclusion from the squad. However, under Garcia’s leadership, the situation has now changed, paving the way for the goalkeeper’s long-awaited comeback.
