Supreme Court upholds Uzodimma re-election

The Supreme Court has upheld the Imo state governorship election that produced Hope Uzodimma as the governor of the state for a second term.
A five-member panel of the apex court in a unanimous decision dismissed the appeal brought before the court by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Samuel Anyawu, in the last governorship election in the state.
In the lead judgment delivered by Justice Mohammed Baba Idris, the court resolved all the issues raised for determination in the appeal against the appellants.
The court held that the appeal was without merit and dismissed it
