Things to know about 2025 Civil Defence, Correctional, Immigration recruitment

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially opened its portal for recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies in Nigeria: the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Interested candidates are urged to take note of the key requirements before submitting their applications.
Here are the essential requirements for applying:
1. Nationality
Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
2. Age Limit
Only candidates between the ages of 18 and 35 years are eligible to apply.
3. Physical and Mental Fitness
All applicants must be physically and mentally fit.
A Certificate of Medical Fitness from a government-recognized hospital must be presented.
4. Character Check
Applicants must be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
They must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
5. Height and Chest Measurement
Male applicants must not be less than 1.65 meters in height, while females must be at least 1.60 meters tall.
Male applicants must have a chest measurement of not less than 0.87 meters.
6. Educational Qualifications
Depending on the cadre applied for, qualifications range from:
Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or National Diploma (ND)
NCE, Registered Nursing/Midwifery certificates
SSCE/NECO/GCE with minimum of four or five credits including English and Mathematics
Trade Test Grades for technical roles
7. Computer Literacy
Basic computer literacy is considered an added advantage.
8. Single Application Rule
Applicants are allowed to apply for only one agency. Multiple applications across different agencies will lead to automatic disqualification.
9. Application Portal and Deadline
Applications are to be submitted online only via the CDCFIB portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org
The portal opens from Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Deadline for application is three weeks from the date of publication.
10. Absolutely Free Application
No fee is required. The application process is completely free, and applicants are advised to beware of fraudsters.
