VIDEO: Lagos residents left devastated as govt seizes, auctions vehicles over traffic infractions

A heart-wrenching video has gone viral on social media, showing elderly men, some of whom are presumably fathers, breaking down in tears after the Lagos State government, under Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration, confiscated and auctioned their vehicles.
According to the poster, the vehicles were seized due to minor traffic infractions, leaving the owners distraught and helpless.
The video captures the emotional moment when the vehicle owners, many of whom appeared to be elderly men, were reduced to tears as they watched their cars being sold off for nominal prices.
While traffic laws are essential for maintaining order and safety on the roads, the severity of the punishment has raised questions about proportionality and compassion.
