2027: APC confirms Tinubu, Shettima ticket

The All Progressives Congress has debunked reports suggesting that President Bola Tinubu might drop Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party described the rumours as politically motivated distractions aimed at creating division within the ruling government.
Speaking on the matter, APC National Vice Chairman (South-East), Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu, emphasized that there is no rift between Tinubu and Shettima, who she said share a strong and effective working relationship.
She reiterated that the leadership of the APC remains fully aligned behind the duo’s joint ticket.
At the recent APC National Summit, several party leaders, including Governors Hope Uzodimma and Uba Sani, alongside Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, publicly endorsed Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for 2027—solidifying the continuity of the Tinubu–Shettima ticket.
