Confusion as inmate escapes from prison

Inmate identified as Paul Michael has mysteriously escaped from the Sapele Correctional Centre in Delta State.
Michael was accused of killing a furniture apprentice, Kelly Onojaiyefe, in Oghara town, Ethiope West Local Government Area.
Thediscovererng.com gathered that, Michael’s escape occurred over the weekend, just a day after the new Controller of State Corrections, Raymond Neagu, assumed office.
Confirming the escape, the command’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Iloba, expressed bewilderment at how Michael managed to flee despite the facility’s tight security. Iloba assured the public that security had been intensified across the state, and a search team has been dispatched to recapture the escapee.
“The Controller is peeved by the development and has immediately launched investigations over the incident,” Iloba stated. He emphasized that the matter would not be taken lightly, as the Controller General of Zone G had mandated a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the escape.
Iloba further mentioned that an investigative team, chaired by the Controller, has been established under the directives of the Controller General Zone G. “Whoever is found culpable will be sanctioned accordingly,” he added.
The command remains vigilant and committed to fortifying the correctional centre until the investigation is concluded and measures are put in place to prevent future incidents.
