Breaking: Vice President Shettima speaks amidst plan to dethrone Sultan of Sokoto

Vice President Kashim Shettima has opened up amidst plan to dethrone His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto.

While reacting, Shettima urged the Sokoto State government to ensure the safety and protection of the monarch.

Shettima made this plea during the North West Peace and Security Summit held in Katsina State, where he highlighted the Sultan’s significance beyond his traditional role, describing him as an institution that represents an idea crucial for the growth of Nigeria.

Recall that Prof. Isiaq Akintola, the leader of Muslim Right Concern (MURIC) had alleged plot to overthrow the Sultan.
