Nurse arrested for brutally burning 13-year-old househelp with hot iron

A shocking case of child abuse has surfaced in Anambra State, where a 38-year-old nurse, Amarachukwu Happiness Nzekwe, has been arrested for inflicting grievous injuries on her 13-year-old househelp.
The victim, Nzekwe’s nephew, suffered severe burns after being pressed with a hot iron as a form of discipline for alleged theft.
During interrogation by the Anambra State Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare, Nzekwe confessed to the heinous act, revealing she heated the iron on a stove to punish the boy.
Commissioner Ify Obinabo condemned the brutality, ensuring Nzekwe’s prosecution and emphasizing zero tolerance for such behavior in the state.
Nzekwe has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
