Breaking News: NFF announces new Super Eagles head coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of German tactician Bruno Labbadia as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles.
NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed the appointment, stating, “The NFF Executive Committee has approved Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles, effective immediately.”
Labbadia, born on February 8, 1966, in Darmstadt, Germany, boasts an impressive playing and coaching career. He won the German Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in 1994 and has managed top clubs like Hertha Berlin, VfB Stuttgart, and VfL Wolfsburg.
The 57-year-old becomes the sixth German to lead the Super Eagles, following in the footsteps of Karl-Heinz Marotzke, Gottlieb Göller, Manfred Höner, Berti Vogts, and Gernot Rohr.
Labbadia’s first challenge is to lead the team in crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda in September.
