Recruitment: Oyo Govt concludes interviews for 8,077 teachers, announces date for PWD

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has successfully concluded oral interview sessions for 8,077 candidates in the ongoing teacher recruitment exercise.
This milestone was announced by the Board’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, during a meeting with Board members.
Out of the 50,700 applicants who registered on the Board’s website, 45,827 sat for the examination, and 8,197 candidates scored above 50 marks. The oral interview sessions, which commenced on August 14, 2024, and ended on August 26, 2024, excluded people with disabilities.
However, the Board has scheduled special interview dates for applicants with disabilities on September 10 and 11, 2024, in collaboration with the Oyo State Agency for People With Disabilities.
Dr. Adeniran commended Governor Seyi Makinde for prioritizing education in the state, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for all candidates. The successful conclusion of the oral interviews marks a significant step towards filling the teacher shortage in Oyo State’s basic education sector.
