FMC Asaba lauds Seyi Tinubu’s health intervention

The Management of the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Asaba, Delta State, has expressed gratitude for being among the first beneficiaries of Seyi Tinubu’s health intervention program aimed at tertiary hospitals.
Dr. Victor Osiatoma, the hospital’s Medical Director, described the intervention as a timely lifeline for the numerous indigent patients who rely on the facility. He noted that the donated drugs and medical supplies would significantly ease the economic burden on patients struggling to afford healthcare services.
“The donation is a huge relief for our patients, especially those facing financial difficulties. This intervention will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact on their treatment,” Dr. Osiatoma said.
Dr. Benson Cole, the National Coordinator of the initiative, commended FMC Asaba for their warm reception of the team and emphasized the importance of ensuring the donated resources reach those most in need. He urged the hospital to ensure the drugs and medical consumables are distributed fairly, ensuring that the target beneficiaries are not denied access.
In addition to the medical supplies, Dr. Joseph Ajanwenyi, a recipient of the Seyi Tinubu Residency Training Scholarship, expressed his appreciation for the support, promising to make full use of the scholarship to further his medical training.
Representing Seyi Tinubu, pharmacist Ojeje Onimisi, called for continued efforts to ensure that all registered beneficiaries of the program receive timely and adequate coverage. He highlighted the importance of reaching as many patients as possible within the stipulated time frame.
The initiative, aimed at improving healthcare access in tertiary hospitals, has been widely praised for its focus on supporting indigent patients and strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Nigeria.
