VIDEO: Senator submits petition against JAMB invigilator over alleged misconduct

A Nigerian senator has formally submitted a petition to the Senate, calling for an investigation into the actions of a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) invigilator who allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with a 16-year-old female student during an examination.
According to the petition, the invigilator approached the student during the exam, asking for her phone number.
When the student declined his request, her examination results were reportedly withheld, raising concerns about the invigilator’s conduct and the integrity of the exam process.
The senator, whose name was not disclosed at the time of reporting, urged JAMB and relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter. He emphasized that no student should be subjected to intimidation or harassment during an examination, and called for strict penalties if the allegations are confirmed.
