VIDEO: Details emerged on Toke Makinwa’s rumored marriage

Over the weekend, social media was abuzz with rumors that media personality Toke Makinwa had secretly tied the knot with her longtime partner, Farouk Umar, after photos from an event labeled as a “Thanksgiving” ceremony went viral.
The speculation gained traction after actress and DJ Dorcas Shola Fapson, popularly known as Ms DSF, seemingly hinted at the union on her social media platforms.
Ms DSF’s comments fueled widespread assumptions that the couple had exchanged vows in a private ceremony. However, in a video shared on her Instagram page, she set the record straight, revealing that her earlier remarks were made in jest.
“Bloggers, please. I was just joking. They’re not getting married. Toke is simply doing a Thanksgiving for her birthday,” Ms DSF clarified in the video, addressing the swirling rumors.
She also poked fun at the media’s quick reaction to her playful comments, humorously captioning the video with, “I play too much and bloggers eat sh*t too fast.”

While the rumors have since been debunked, the viral photos had sparked considerable speculation, with fans wondering if the 39-year-old Makinwa, who was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida before their divorce in 2017, had once again found love.
As of now, Toke Makinwa has not publicly responded to the rumors, leaving the viral buzz to settle after Ms DSF’s clarification. What was initially assumed to be a wedding celebration has now been confirmed as a Thanksgiving ceremony to mark Makinwa’s birthday.
