VIDEO: FBI allegedly investigating Nigerian TikTok star Peller over past cybercrime confession

Nigerian TikTok sensation Peller is reportedly under the radar of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after past admissions of involvement in cybercrime, known locally as “yahoo-yahoo.”
This revelation was shared by controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, who claims a source within the FBI informed her of Peller’s alleged history with online fraud.
Olunloyo, posting audio updates on her social media, stated that the 19-year-old TikTok star previously admitted during a live session that he once engaged in internet scamming. According to her, Peller has since transitioned from cybercrime to legitimate earnings as a content creator. However, she warns that his public confession could still invite legal trouble, referencing the case of Hushpuppi, the Nigerian influencer currently imprisoned in the U.S. for cybercrime.
“If you know Peller, please tell him to keep quiet. He’s at risk of ruining his own future,” Olunloyo cautioned, adding that the FBI is increasing its scrutiny of influencers with suspected links to cyber fraud.

The journalist’s claims have ignited mixed reactions across social media. While some users dismissed her report as another unsubstantiated story, others highlighted the potential consequences Peller could face if the investigation moves forward.
