Joe Igbokwe calls out Davido over advice on current economic woes

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has criticized popular singer Davido for his remarks about Nigeria’s struggling economy.
Davido recently advised Africans in America, particularly Nigerians, against returning home due to the country’s poor economic situation.
Reacting to the statement, Igbokwe expressed disappointment and urged Davido to retract his comments, emphasizing the role Nigeria played in the singer’s rise to fame.
“My in-law Davido has made me sad by telling the world in America that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles. This is very sad. I will advise him to retract the statement asap. Nigeria made Davido. QED,” Igbokwe wrote in a social media post.
The DMW boss’s remarks about the economic state of the country have sparked mixed reactions, with some supporting his claims while others, like Igbokwe, viewed them as an affront to Nigeria.
Check out reactions that followed;
thefoodnetworknig2: “Nigeria made him is different from Nigeria is going through shiiiiieeettt right now…He said what he said mahn!”
henryjimkfilms: “Truth has become abomination in this country ♂️”
nini_blacc: “Why them Dey fear the truth for this country Abeg? Make he lie? Abi is it not in shambles??”

Davido is yet to respond to Igbokwe’s statement. Meanwhile, discussions surrounding the state of Nigeria’s economy remain a hot topic, reflecting the broader concerns of citizens and public figures alike.
