VIDEO: VDM reacts to Access Bank’s statement over alleged ₦500 million inheritance dispute

Nigerian social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, has issued a fiery response to Access Bank’s recent denial of allegations surrounding a ₦500 million inheritance dispute.
In his reaction, the activist questioned the integrity of the bank’s records and promised a detailed confrontation on the matter.
The controversy stems from allegations that Access Bank withheld over ₦500 million belonging to the late Mr. Edongesi Edith Hour, who passed away in 2019 without a will. While Access Bank firmly denied these claims in a statement, describing them as “untrue and baseless,” VeryDarkMan is not backing down.
In a video shared online, Verydarkman accused the bank of failing to provide a complete account statement. “Access Bank, I have seen your response to the allegations of the missing ₦500 million from a dead client’s account. Let’s all get ready; this week go long!” he stated.
VeryDarkMan further pointed out a significant gap in the records, questioning why the bank statement skips from 2016 to 2020. “Where is the statement for 2017, 2018, and 2019?” he asked.

The influencer revealed that the deceased client’s relative would be traveling to Abuja to escalate the matter, hinting at a series of actions to challenge Access Bank’s position.
Access Bank, in its earlier statement, reiterated its commitment to ethical practices and assured the public that it operates under the highest professional standards. However, the unfolding events suggest that the matter is far from resolved.
