A disturbing video capturing the physical abuse of a 3-year-old boy, Abayomi Michael, by a teacher at Christ-Mitots School, Ikorodu, has sparked widespread outrage on social media and raised serious concerns about student safety.
The video, shared by an X user, shows the teacher, identified as Stella Nwadigo, repeatedly slapping the young child while purportedly teaching him how to write numbers. The footage, which quickly went viral, has drawn sharp criticism from concerned parents and advocacy groups, with many questioning the school’s handling of children and its disciplinary standards for staff members.
In the clip, the boy’s attempts to learn were met with harsh physical punishment, a scene that has reignited calls for stricter regulations and enforcement of child protection laws in educational institutions.
