Don’t join me in APC, decamped Nwoko warns Delta governor

The Senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko, has warned Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State not to join him in his new party – the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Senator, who was officially received into the APC by the Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) Wednesday, said he would not welcome the governor if he eventually join the APC has been rumoured.
Speaking with newsmen after a meeting with the APC leaders at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Senator Nwoko said the governor lacked capacity to deliver good governance for the people of Delta state.
“My first concern in leaving PDP is to make sure that there’s enough time for me to get some things done through federal government. I’m tired of being in Delta and almost like in opposition, because I tell them what to do, they don’t want to do it, I keep telling them.”
When asked if he would welcome governor Sheriff Oborevwori if he eventually join APC as it has been rumoured, the Senator said: “No, I will not welcome him. How? Why? I have just told you that he doesn’t have the capacity to be a governor where we are. He has not delivered to my expectations.
“We have projects that I told him that are needed to be done for the people which he refused to do.”
While receiving the Senator, APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, urged the Senator to work with other stakeholders in Delta State.
“What we are looking forward is highly organized party structure in that state, composed of men and women, especially young men who will go from house to house to show that APC dominates almost everywhere.”
