Lamido blasts El-Rufai, Amaechi over their role in 2023 presidential election

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has called on former ministers Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi to apologize to Nigerians for their roles in the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In an interview with Arise TV, Lamido criticized the duo for their recent remarks about the APC’s challenges, insisting that they were part of the problem and should take responsibility.
“If El-Rufai believes the APC is failing, he should be the first to apologize to Nigerians because he played a role in bringing the party to power,” Lamido said.
He further stated that both El-Rufai and Amaechi rose to prominence under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but later turned against it.
“The PDP made them politically relevant, yet they insulted the party that nurtured them. If they are now talking about opposition, they should first seek forgiveness from Nigerians for the problems they contributed to,” Lamido added.
