Popular Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has reacted to the controversy surrounding the newly released book by former military president Ibrahim Babangida, titled “A Journey In Service.”

The book, which delves into key moments in Nigeria’s history, has sparked widespread discussions and debates. However, Seun Kuti, son of the legendary Fela Kuti, made it clear that he has no interest in Babangida’s account of events.

Taking to social media, Seun Kuti dismissed the book, stating that he already possesses all the historical knowledge he needs. According to him, there is nothing Babangida can reveal that he does not already know.

“I don’t care about Babangida’s book. Whatever Babangida said in his book is Babangida’s problem. There is nothing Babangida wants to tell people like me, who are interested in the story of my country, that I don’t know already,” he said.

Seun Kuti further hinted that he would be sharing his own version of Nigeria’s past, suggesting that his perspective on the nation’s history may differ from the narrative presented in Babangida’s book.
