Oyo govt installs one-way tyre spikes to curb wrong-way driving

The Oyo State Government has begun installing One-Way Tyre Spikes to deter motorists from driving against traffic.
A recently installed spike barrier was spotted along Idi-Ape, sparking discussions online.
A viral video circulating on social media captures the newly implemented traffic enforcement measure in action. The spikes are designed to puncture the tyres of vehicles attempting to drive in the wrong direction, reinforcing compliance with traffic laws.
Netizens have taken to the comment section to commend Governor Seyi Makinde for the initiative, with many urging Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other governors to adopt a similar measure in the fight against traffic violations.
As of now, the Oyo State Government has yet to release an official statement regarding the full implementation of the spikes across the state.
