Natasha never accused me of s3xual harassment— Fayemi

Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has dismissed claims made by Senator Cyril Fasuyi that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan once accused him of s3xual harassment.
During Wednesday’s plenary session, Fasuyi, who represents Ekiti North Senatorial District, mentioned Fayemi while defending Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who is currently facing similar allegations from Akpoti-Uduaghan. However, Fayemi, through a statement issued by his media office, described the claim as a “monumental falsehood” that has no basis in reality.
According to Fayemi’s media team, neither Akpoti-Uduaghan nor anyone else has ever made such an allegation against him. The statement further suggested that Fasuyi might have “misrepresented the facts” in his attempt to support Akpabio.
“For the record, the only professional engagement Dr. Fayemi ever had with Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was during his tenure as Minister of Mines and Steel Development when they had policy discussions about the Ajaokuta Steel Company,” the statement read. “While their views on the company’s future may have differed, their interactions remained strictly professional. At no point did Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan accuse Dr. Fayemi of any misconduct.”
Fayemi’s media office urged Fasuyi to verify information before making public statements, emphasizing that false claims could damage reputations. It also reaffirmed Fayemi’s commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity in public service.
