Breaking: Former presidential aide, Doyin Okupe dies

Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson and seasoned political figure, has passed away.
His death was confirmed on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Okupe, who served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential campaign, stepped down from the role after a court convicted him of money laundering.
Following the election, he resigned from the Labour Party and later became a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
A longtime political strategist, Okupe previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan. His death marks the end of a decades-long career in Nigeria’s political landscape.
