Popular comedian opens up on shocking encounters with friends’ wives

Veteran Nigerian comedian, Alibaba, has stirred conversations online after revealing jaw-dropping experiences involving married women caught in compromising situations with powerful men and politicians.
Speaking on a candid episode of the Outside the Box podcast, the seasoned comic—who recently welcomed triplets with his wife—spoke about how his fame and close ties with high-profile individuals have exposed him to uncomfortable truths about infidelity in marriages.
According to Alibaba, he has often found himself in situations where he visits the homes of influential politicians, only to be stunned by the presence of women he recognizes as the wives of men he knows.
“I’ve been to the houses of a lot of big men—politicians and the rest—and I’ve seen wives of people I know coming to do things I cannot talk about,” he revealed. “I would just greet them respectfully, while the men touch them inappropriately and say things like, ‘Go back inside, I’m not done with you.’”
The comedian also recounted a particularly awkward moment when he met one of those women at an event in Lagos—years after their secret encounter. Her husband, unaware of the past, introduced her to him proudly.
“I was like, ‘How are you, madam? I haven’t seen you in nearly five years. Good to see you,’” he said with a knowing tone.
Alibaba added that some of the women later reached out privately to thank him for staying silent and not exposing their secret lives.
The revelation has sparked massive reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock, while others praised Alibaba’s discretion and maturity in handling such sensitive matters.
